Madison Avenue - Seventh Street to Trunk Highway 22 - No. 10097

Rehabilitation of Madison Avenue is in the design stage. It is scheduled to be constructed in 2012 in two phases: resurfacing of Seventh Street to Victory Drive; and a full roadway reconstruction of Victory Drive to Apache Place. One-lane traffic will allow continued access to businesses. Additional business access is planned from Bassett Drive and Adams Street.

A bus transit lane is planned for the right lane in both directions. A bus rapid transit pickup/drop-off site is planned between Sioux Road and Apache Place. The project also includes construction of a multiuse lighted trail along the south side of Madison Avenue and lighting updates to state aid standards using Light Emitting Diode (LED) lighting.

Mills Street and Fifth Avenue Resurfacing - No. 10084

City of Mankato Engineering Department — 6/3/2011

Fifth Avenue will be re-routed to avoid railroad tracks and raised concrete medians. Railroad gates will be installed on Pine Street to improve safety at the intersection. Most of the project will be federally financed and will provide a safe, whistle-free crossing at this diagonal intersection. This project is scheduled for the 2012 construction season.

West Second and Marcy streets, Phase 3 - No. 10186

Replacement of aging facilities and improvements to drainage of Spence Street (from West Third to Mound streets) and Marcy Street (from West Second Street to Mound Avenue). This is phase three of a three-year construction plan.
